Relations Manager

Copenhagen, Denmark | Volunteer position | Duration: October 2021 - May 2022

Besides our members, oikos Copenhagen has other important stakeholders: our network – including partners, sponsors and collaborators. Relations to these stakeholders are necessary for our mission of promoting sustainability in economics and management education. Hence, the goal of this function is to take care of the relations and ties between oikos and its partners. Becoming a member of the Partnership Team means that you will expand our stakeholder network by contacting relevant individuals, companies, organisations and institutions in the process of identifying potential collaborators and sponsors for our projects while overseeing and caring for existing relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE RELATIONS MANAGER

Develop and care for existing relationships with partners and sponsors and explore opportunities for new partnerships.
Research and share relevant collaboration opportunities with the functions and projects.
Extend the professional and academic network of oikos Copenhagen.
Identifying potential sponsors and applying to funding opportunities.
Manage the contact database via the CRM software Hubspot.

QUALIFICATIONS

Able to clearly communicate with internal members and external partners.
Ability to collaborate with different working and communication styles.
Structured way of working and a detail-oriented mindset.
Adaptability and curiosity for establishing new contacts.
Enthusiasm and critical reflection for maintaining existing contacts.
Time Management and ability to work under pressure.
Experience in stakeholder management and CRM are beneficial but not mandatory.
Danish skills are valuable but not required (organisational language is English).

Open Positions within relations

Join the partnership team: The partnership team is responsible for oikos Copenhagen’s network, partnerships and fundraising as described above.
Join the Green Week Team or the Social Pioneers | oikos Career Team:
Green Week, Social Pioneers and oikos Career engage with several experts, companies, and organisations every year. As Relations Manager for either project, you will support the Project Manager in coordinating the project teams efforts to coordinate the stakeholder activities. You will also have close contact with the Partnership Team for sparring and information sharing. You will be responsible for sharing contacts and making sure that activities are registered in our CRM system. In our project teams, we pull in the same direction and support each other. Hence, as a Relations Manager in a project team, we expect you to be proactive and take on necessary tasks, even if they should fall outside of the scope of relations (e.g. creating social media material). NB: For the first time, we will merge our Social Pioneers and oikos Career Projects to open opportunities across the whole field of careers within sustainability.
