Wair started as a combination of realising how unsustainable sneakers are and seeing how many textiles are being wasted every single day. This turned into a university project, which explored the opportunities in upcycling of textiles and later turned into Wair – sustainable shoes from upcycled textiles.

Because of their important mission, we chose Lulu Lab as startup #3 in our “Support the local businesses” series. Lulu Lab is acknowledged by UNESCO and develops engaging, educational games on taboo topics such as intimate hygiene, sexual diseases and mental health problems.
