A new semester, a new edition of oikos Academy!

As citizens of Copenhagen, you’re living in a city that brands itself a forerunner in sustainability, but how does it live up to these claims and what is actually being done to enhance the people’s lives?

During our five events, you will not only hear from leading experts on their daily efforts and challenges to make Copenhagen a greener, more livable place, but also be able to contribute with your own experiences and ideas from a citizen’s perspective, by asking questions and taking part in our interactive workshop.

Cities are by nature complex, diverse and dynamic – hence we made sure to cover the topic of Urban Sustainability in Copenhagen in a multi-faceted fashion. Our lectures will touch upon various interesting aspects such as the City of Copenhagen’s plan to become carbon neutral by 2025, how it mobilizes entrepreneurs to help reach this goal, how design and culture can encourage sustainable behavior, what role green technology plays to disrupt urban lifestyles and how Copenhagen really performs in urban sustainability on an international level.
