The Nordic countries are often singled out as leaders in the drive toward sustainable development and green transition. With a particular emphasis on the Danish case, this session provides a critical discussion of Nordic accomplishments in environmental and social sustainability, ranging from ambitious government policies to corporate frontrunners.
The aim is not just to extol the virtues of the Nordic model and associated benchmarks and best practices, but also to reflect critically on the shortcomings of extant approaches, barriers to further development and all the work that remains to be done.
